2good2tip on BBC Radio Bristol Breakfast Show!

Wow what an amazing morning I’ve had – I was invited to talk with Steve  Le Fevre on the BBC Bristol Breakfast show this morning to talk about 2good2tip – what a brilliant time!  I was so nervous but Steve was a really great guy and really put me at my ease. This was a first for me and I think it went really well, it all went by in a bit of a blur to be honest.

If you want to hear my interview, please follow this link to the BBC iplayerand scroll to 2hours 23 mins and my interview will start. Its only available here for 7 days so please go and have a listen ! You can now download the MP3 file of this interview

I wanted to say so much as I always do, as I feel so passionately about what this site can offer and what you can do with it, but the time just flew by – anyway hope you enjoy listening - let me know what you think!

help the environment

The weather is not looking too brilliant for the weekend so if you are planning a clear out – just think twice before you load up everything and take it to the tip. Many of your unwanted things may be just what someone else is looking for, so be sure to think about putting it on your 2good2tip stall first. Keeping stuff out of the tip really does help the environment, not only it is good for all of us but it could put some pennies back in your pocket for that rainy day – and we certainly are getting our fair share of those at the moment!

Your stall and making contact tips

It’s quite interesting that many people who have stalls like to hide their phone numbers and just give their email as contact. This is perfectly fine but for all you stallholders out there, with stuff to sell, you must not forget to check your email in box regularly to see if anyone has contacted you to buy things.

Its easy in our hectic lives to forget to check the mail – so we have made it easier for you – when someone has sent you a message through the 2good2tip site, we also send you a notification message to your general email address (the one you gave at registration) letting you know you need to log into your 2good2tipstall to see and reply to your messages – because someone’s interested in buying from you.

Remember if you give a phone number as well your email, potential buyers will find it much easier to make contact you.

2good2tip comes alive !

Hey, it’s so exciting, I hope you agree that the site is looking fantastic and did you know that the little creatures that guide you around are called Floggies?  They may look cute but their purpose is to help guide you around the site, love the one with the binoculars ……create a community and go and find him! Trouble is … all our mates are trying to decide which one is me and which one is Mr P – that’s a bit worrying!

I can’t wait to set up my own stall, we have so much stuff here, don’t know about you,  but buried somewhere in my garage is the beautiful car that I got for my 40th birthday,… haven’t seen it since! Seriously, it’s time for that long overdue clear out – that’s why I love the idea of 2good2tip and having my own place to put all the stuff. I can’t wait to see the communities build - more friends, less rubbish, more money……….can’t think why we didn’t think of this before!

2good2tip comes out of the conservatory!

Who’d of thought a sleepless night and getting up at 5 am on a Sunday ! - sitting in the conservatory scribbling out this vision for a new website would turn into this. www.2good2tip.com - it had to be serious – I never knew there were two 5 o’clocks in one day especially on a Sunday!

Seriously though – two years have flown by since we came up with the idea for a new and very different way of buying and selling or even swapping unwanted but useful stuff online. Shame its taken us so long to finish but hey ho that’s life.

This is a great simple and cheap way of having your very own stall on line and selling your stuff – face to face with people around you.  By doing the deal yourself – means you keep the profits ! – that’s got to be good. I really like the feel-good-factor of not taking to the tip on a Sunday morning but selling it to someone who really wants it or just give it away.

Take a look – hope you like it !
