dont worry about the dust!

panniers

Now I know it’s not the best photo in the world and for those bikers amongst you I am sure you can see through the dust to see how useful these motorbike panniers would be – check out this ‘different’ 2good2tip stall – there’s some great stuff here, you just have to see through the dust – not much different to some of the local sales I have been to really !

The Bristol Magazine

The Bristol Magazine

The Bristol Magazine’s November issue is discussing whether the traditional car boot sale has basically had its day. It’s an interesting debate and I firmly believe that there is definitely still a place for the traditional carboot sale.  I think people love the idea of getting together and interacting with each other to buy and sell. The internet allows this to happen in quite a different way and that is why I love the 2good2tip concept that marries the two together – the traditional with the online.

Being able to sell and view stuff on-line rather than in a cold wet field has to be quite appealing but getting together and meeting people to make the sale or swap is the charm, and keeping all the profits from your sales rather than paying commission, is also a huge plus.

I like to think of 2good2tip as an extension of the carboot or indeed the traditional tabletop sale. It’s where locals, friends, colleagues can have some fun buying and selling together and making a few quid from stuff they would have otherwise dumped. People can use this site all week round and still do their traditional sales at the weekends – they can even notify each other of which sales they will be attending.

Christmas presents

My Mum said to me ‘I  don’t have any communities to join’ I said well you live in a village – so make that your first one and then pick some other villages around you for the rest or join in the local pub one – the penny dropped ! and now she’s having fun selling all the Christmas presents I gave her over the last few years to her friends – charming! – at least that means I wont feel guilty now about selling hers ! Actually, I quite like a lot of the stuff I gave her so I’ll probably end up buying them back !

So what’s 2good2tip all about ?

www.2good2tip.com  is the community based web site for buying, selling or swapping low cost stuff, locally. It’s simply an easy, cheap and really fun way of getting rid of your unwanted stuff on line.

What makes 2good2tip different is that we focus on community – bringing people together to buy and sell with people they know or people local to them. You can turn ‘real’ places you go to or live in, into a 2good2tip community on your computer – your village, toddler group, sports club, workplace for example. You can invite other people, who you meet regularly, to join in and have their own stall – thereby creating friendlier, safer places to buy and sell.

How does this work ? – just 3 easy steps …
1. Get a Stall - 2. Put it in Communities around you - 3. Send your friends your stall link so they can check out your stuff.

This site is completely different from other advertising sites as it works around small communities near to you.  This is all about having fun buying, selling, swapping stuff locally –  with anyone who is local to you – where ever that may be. It works very much like a carboot or table top sale in your area.

It’s all about doing the deal face to face – with people local to you – keeping stuff out of the tip, helping the envrionment by doing your bit to recycle - and also you get to keep the profits !
Have Fun.
